How do we become like the French
This is my first contribution to your forum . I have been a member for sometime and have spent a lot time exploring your brilliant site.
I hope this contribution will count for me becoming a confirmed member of Virve Nu.
I have visited many naturist site and without doubt this is the best. It has good style and attitude ,and is so well organised.
I am a member of a naturist club in the UK and have visited many nudist beaches in the UK as well as attending organised swim and sauna sessions.
I have also visited many nudist beaches in France. What a joy it is to relax on a beach in France. French naturists have a confidence that is not found in England. The overlap between textile areas and nudist areas is no problem. It is so !refresh!ing to see so many relaxed people of all ages. What is it about the French that allows them to have this attitude and what can we in the UK learn from the French in order to improve our conditions .
In the UK we seem too furtive and puritanical. It is not just the authorities in the UK that cause this, but I believe the naturist organisations also play a part. Are we still recovering from a prudish Victorian past that is loaded with hypocrisy/?
I look forward to the day when going to the beach in the UK will be like going to the beach in France ,and naturists and non-naturist are fully integrated . Naturists should be confident and happy
My friends in France please offer advice on how we might achieve this goal ,you have got it right and we are entirely wrong.
In summary I hope to open up a debate on how to improve our whole approach to naturism in England.
We have a lot to learn and think your site offers an opportunity for us to proceed.

Welcome in the network. While you wrote your message, some french fellows here adversely think that the english people are used to be less prudish than the french people are.
Some even testified about their english experience, in which they greatly appreciated the general relax attitude over there.
What make(s) you deem:
- english are naturism-unfriendly?
- french are naturism-friendly?

Bienvenu dans le reseau. Pendant que tu ecrivais ton message, des collegues francais ici pensent paradoxalement que les anglais ont l'habitude d'etre moins prudes que les francais.
Certains ont meme temoigne sur leurs experiences anglaises dans lesquelles ils ont grandement apprecie le comportement generalement detendu la-bas.
Qu'est-ce qui te fait penser que:
- les anglais sont anti-naturistes?
- les francais pro-naturistes?

you must bare in mind that a lot more people will spend their holiday in France than in the UK .It makes it quite different.
Last year , in July , I spent a couple of weeks in East Anglia , and went to Oaklham Beach ( I forget the way it was spelt). Anyway, the weather was superb , so was the beach, BUT I was the only foreigner on the naturist side because so few people would ever think to visit this part of Europe...
A very good point. We live in cold ,damp country.Generally naturists will visit France because of the superbe weather ,beaches and food.
But how do we educate the general public in the UK about naturism and the advantages of this great way of life.
Are we too insular in the Uk because we live on an island.
I want to be able go with confidence to any beach in the Uk and know that I will be able to enjoy being a naturists,how do we break down the barriers between textiles and naturists

I lived 2 yeras in UK, I am convinced that english people are less prude than french.
In every places you do sports, changing rooms are full of naked men.
You never see such things in France even if it is not a naturism experience.
Bon, sans chauvinisme exacerbe, je vais ecrire en francais: la personne initiatrice de ce fil de discussion, demande a etre promue "membre confirme" apres avoir ete inscrit depuis qq annees et apres avoir initie cette discussion.
C'est aller un peu vite car:
- elle dit des choses contradictoires par rapport aux messages de discussions paralleles sur le naturisme en angleterre.
- aucuns exemples pour soutenir ces affirmations.
- desir de devenir membre confirme dans quel but 😕 ?
Je ne suis pas non plus pour exclure tous les messages à langue étrangère. Il y a des messages interressants ou pas comme pour les messages français.
Ca peut permettre à certains de s'ameliorer en langues 😉
En ce qui concerne le statut de membre confirmé, beaucoup d'étrangers ayant notamment reperés la notion de photos persos et les vidéos dispo sur le site veulent voir ce qui est caché et obtenir le statut de confirmé pour celà. Il parait relativement impossible pour eux d'obtenir ce statut du fait qu'il implique que nous puissions suffisamment cerner la personalité de la personne en question et la barrière de la langue n'aide pas en celà.
Il m'est arrivé de confirmer un anglais il me semble , il n'intervient d'ailleurs plus sur le site :#

I have no evidence to support my assertions, it is just that I have a greater feeling of freedom in France and on beaches particulary.You all just seem much more relaxed and comfortable in France.
With regards the comfirmed status ,clearly this is not an option for me as language is a major barrier, but I shall contiue to closely follow the progress of the site
